Awww crap... I don't even want to say!!
I am up north in Charlevoix/Petoskey area for a wedding this weekend and I have eaten evertyhing under the sun, including a huge bowl of Ice Cream in the jacuzzi tub in my room! Now that is the life! I had the most wonderful steak last night at a resturaunt called the City Park Grille in Petoskey and our hotel is AWESOME (The Inn at Bay Harbor)!! Although I am thoroughly (did I spell that right??)convinced the scale is not at all accurate. It is a big huge lie! Or maybe that is what I am doing to myself! I don't have too much time,I have to go get ready for the wedding but I wanted to touch base with all my adoring fans who may miss me! I think I may start another blog about writing and some other stuff one of these days too. Mostly about my insanity :) Ciao!

I don't know how I went down. I was so bad yesterday with my food choices! I had no breakfast, A sub sandwich for lunch, snacks of cheetos and a huge yummy chocolate chip type cookie bar and dinner was carrot stix, celery stix, broccoli, chips & salsa, cheese and a reuben slider washed down with 2 victory beers. No Elliptical but the running around I did last night for the Road Rally must have been more excercise than the elliptical gives me anyway because I am sore!
So my victory beers were yes a celebration of the fact that the Legal Beagles won first place last night. Actually we tied for first but technically it was us because the other team didn't have all their members at the finish line yet. GO LEGAL BEAGLES! We get a huge trophy and everything!! Yay!

Argh... back up to 175!! Well given the weekend I had it could be a lot worse. Heck I am going to hate to see it after this weekend! I am going out of town for a long weekend for a wedding.
I can't list everything I ate over the weekend, I don't have that much time. Actually I ate ok it was just a lot at the few meals I had. I had a few too many drinks on Friday night at the wine bar and Mongolian Barbecue (you can imagine how much I ate there...), so I was out of commission for awhile on Saturday but it didn't stop me from grazing that night. Sunday I had a big meal over at Mrs. G's as usual. Yesterday I had McDonalds for lunch (snack wrap and small fry) and a coke. For dinner I had some cheese ravioli w/out sauce and a Chai Tea Late (mmmm!) Today I had coffee and a sub for lunch and a coke. I gues it is not so bad I just feel bad because I have not been on my elliptical since Thursday. I haven't had too much time. I hate when I get so busy. It's not getting any better either! Tonight I have the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce Road Rally (YAY how fun) and tomorrow I have to pack and I leave Thursday night. So much to do, so little time.
Speaking of so little time, I have to get back to work now. I am swamped and fear I will be working on Friday from my hotel room!! So... Happy trails to you, until we meet again!!

Still 174 but slowly climbing... I did eat a lot last night but it was a home cooked meal comprised of four food groups... meat, vegetables, carbohydrates and dessert... what? What's that you say? Dessert isn't a food group! *Gasp* Say it ain't so!!! I had Steak, green beans, mac and cheese (easy mac single portion) and 4 uncooked chocolate chip cookies (plus I had one cooked one earlier in the day and 2 twizzlers)Then I had a beer when I was out with my special friends :) Breakfast - cinnamon toast (whole grain w/cinn. butter) and strawberry yogurt - Snack - handfull of oatbran sesame stix again... - Lunch - Small Meditteranean salad, thing of mini oreos and 2 twizzlers and I am stuffed and feel like a little piggie. oink oink!
I am swamped at work today so I must say adios amigos and have a good weekend!

See, now I am 174.4 and holding. It's been like a pound every 2 days this week. I will not complain. Exspecially since this morning I was able to get a pair of shoes on that I haven't been able to wear since June. Shoes I know... what can I say I gain weight in my feet. They fit at the store and when I got home they didn't fit anymore. It was very odd. V. V. odd.
Anyway - Dinner: Ritz crackers and tea, very bad I know but I didn't get home until 8:30 - Breakfast: 1 slice of whole grain toast w/applebutter and blueberry yogurt - mid-morning snack: a handful of oatbran sesame stix - Lunch: PB&J and a bowl of mushroom barley soup (if Scott remembers to bring it back.)
Excercise yesterday - well I traipsed around the mall and Kohl's for hours. Does that count? I bought entirely way too much stuff but I needed most of it. I finally bought throw pillows for my couch. Yay!! They look pretty good I think.
I used to write a lot of poetry when I was younger and I haven't done it in so long. So I bought a book that gives you excercises for writing to get back into it. Here is my favorite one that I have written recently. It is a limerick about Scott's dog.
There once was a dog named Scrappy,
Oh, he was a fine young chappy,
He chased all the squirrels,
And all of the girls,
Because that's what made him happy.

Zippity Doo-Dah - Zippity Eh (yooper form)! And I ate a candy bar yesterday! I had 1/3 of a new Reese's caramel peanutbutter cup (eww... it was way too sweet!) and a miniature kit-kat (yummy) Dinner - Falaffel (6 little patties), 3 uncooked chocolate chip cookies, and a glass of wine (not together), Breakfast - 2 pieces of whole grain toast and tea, Lunch PB&J again (mmmm...). Excercise - 20 minutes on the elliptical and cleaning my stove from my Jalapeno explosion the other day. (I forgot to do the inside where it dripped its gooey mess)
I am so excited about 174. I haven't seen 174 in months - not since June I think! I know it's not lots but to me it is!! YAY!

Dinner: Cous-cous (which was v. v. aweome - thanks Mrs. G!), apples, brownie and a big glass of milk just like Mom taught me, Breakfast - a bowl of specail K and Lunch - PB&J and yogurt - I put the coke back in the fridge... good girl! Excercise - 35 minutes on elliptical and I am heading out for a walk right now.
Scale is still not where I want it, but I am wearing pants I have not worn in months and they feel comfortable and looser than usual. 175 and holding. YAY me!!

Yay! I lost a pound or so. Woo-hoo. This is the lowest I have weighed since the challenge has begun!! After the weekend I had, I better of! Talk about crazy!! I just have one tip for all of you... If you are going to work with a lot of jalapenos wear rubber gloves or you will regret it later! My hands burned from 12 pm to somewhere between 5:30 am- 8:40 am (-I popped nyquil at 3am so I finally conked out and don't know when the pain subsided!) I know it sounds crazy and unbelievable - but believe me, you don't want to try to debunk this claim!! I have never experienced such pain in my life, not even when I got my tatoo!!
Anyway I did not excercise all weekend but I did do a LOT of housework on Sunday. We are talking a lot!!! I was so pooped by last night! Thank goodness my hands were better! I didn't eat too healthy but I didn't eat a lot either! Friday I had yogurt before the football game and nachos and a handful of popcorn at the game, which they won! (They are un-defeated!! - Go MOTT!) Saturday I ate 2 pieces of pizza, which because of my pain, was difficult to hold and eat and made me nauseous. Later I had 3/4 of a sleeve of Ritz crackers. Yesterday I had a piece of banana bread and one cookie. I was rescued around 6 pm by a surprise meal sent over by Mrs. G. She sent over a porkchop, stuffing, mixed vegetables, couscous, warm apples and brownies!! She is so sweet! I didn't eat it all though. I saved some for today. I also had 3-4 choclate chip cookies that I baked for Scott. (Ok so I may have had 5 or 6, but I figure the uncooked ones don't really count as cookies. Do they?) So that is what I ate all weekend.
I think my new format will be my weight as the title, then a list of the foods eaten between posts and then the excercise I have done. My Aunt said she can't believe I post my weight.... that is my motivation. The whole world now knows my weight and my goal and I can't fail with the whole world watching right??

I'm up but it's better than 178 or more... It must be the slice of pizza, bag of peanuts and hot dog at the Tigers game and the 2 beers, hamburger and onion rings from last night when I went out to dinner with the DAPC crew. Of course I have not been on my elliptical since Tuesday either. I hate when I get so busy!! Tonight I have my cousin's football game, which I have to go to, because I love going :) I can squeeze in some time on the elliptical before I go. I only need a 1/2 hour or so. It really does not take that much time. My scale is not showing results so much but my clothes are fitting better little by litte and I think that is the important part. I also need more self-control and will power not to eat. Like last night with my dinner... I was full but continued to put away the onion rings and the peanuts at the Tigers game anyway. JUST BECAUSE IT IS THERE DOES NOT MEAN YOU NEED TO EAT IT ROBIN!!!!
I am going to be a busy girl this weekend. I am doing some canning tomorrow and I have a youth group event and then on Sunday there is church, slide show, and yard work!!! How exciting.

Well I have done very well so far this week. I have been on the elliptical 2 days in a row and tonight I am taking a break and hanging out in the rain at the Tigers game. Although today I could really use a work out. I have a LOT of AGRESSION today! My roof is leaking, my credit card company screwed me over and work was hectic... ahhh I'll go have a beer instead ;o)
I have been pretty good about eating healthy this week and am fairly impresed with myself. I bought healthy stuff at the grocery store like yogurt, rye bread, and apples. YAY ME! Well I better head out to get ready for the game. GO TIGERS!!!!!

176.8 - Woo hoo I lost .4 lbs! Hey that's good considering all the food at my Granparent's party on Saturday!! Roastbeef, Chicken Marasala, Mashed Potatoes, Baked and Green Beans, Beer, Pie, Ice Cream... Mmmm, and then yesterday we had a breakfast at church and later I went to Scott's paent's house for dinner... no shortage of yummy stuff there!! Mrs. G. is a great cook!!
So I didn't get much time for excercise this weekend but I cleaned my house and did some shopping, which is better than sitting on my butt :o) I plan on getting on that elliptical tonight after work. It's really the best time to do it... I get to take out all my aggression's then. However I don't usually have too many. I love my job most of the time. I'll just put on today's episode of Day's of Our Lives and elliptical away.
Anyway the 60th Ann. Party was great! Everyone was there - it was so good seeing everybody. I miss my family when I don't see them. I wish they didn't all live so far away... (that goes for both sides of my family - I love them all so much!) My sister put together a wonderful slide show. It's so fun to see them when they were young and the rest of the family when they were growing up. My litte 2nd cousins from Illinois were there, they are so cute, and Livy is so smart and funny -you never know what she is going to say next! Hopefully I will see them again soon!

177.2 ... Hmm what happened to the title on my previous post? Perhaps that title thingy does not work! Oh Well...
At any rate I am in my early 30's and I am tired of my weight going up and down and up and down. It's ridiculous! I can't seem to make a weight sticko. I am hoping with my elliptical that I will be able to institute a routine and stick with it. I have done better than I thought but I am really bad at getting up in the morning to do it. I am more of an afterwork excerciser. I did do 10 minutes this morning after I finally rolled out of bed in fear of missing the garbage man for a second week in a row. HA I BEAT HIM!!!
I have been on my elliptical 3 times this week but I gorged myself on Taco Bell last night and fell asleep promptly thereafter to be awoken by my phone ringing with Janice on the other end yelling "Where are you" I was supposed to be at BW 3's at 8... woops!! sorry Janice... I have been so very sleepy lately. I don't understand. Scott says it's my favorite hobby... he may be right although I like to think that dreaming is my favorite hobby and you need sleep to do that... or at least if you want obscure dreams that make no sense.
So I have lost no weight since my challenge started even though I have been excercising and making some dietary changes. I do have to admit that my pants are fitting better though so that gives me some hope.
I am now faced with a weekend which always spells TROUBLE in the weight loss world, exspecially when you take into consideration that I have my Grandparent's 60th Anniversary Party tomorrow. Nothing like a party to make you eat like a pig. 60 years can you imagine? I can't even keep a boyfriend for more than a year at a time... in fact less. However this one is getting there and he's the sweetest, cutest thing ever. Awww... how sweet!!

Well, my boyfriend and I have started a weightloss challenge. Actually we started it July 10th. The first to lose 10% of their body fat wins a new outfit. So far we have both fluctuated up and down losing 1% at any given time. Yeah... our progress is not so good!! That is why I am starting this blog... to encourage myself and keep track of my progress.
They say (whoever they are) that you should aim for 10% when you are trying to lose, I however am aiming for more. 10% is not going to get me back into my favorite jeans... I know I can do it. A few years back I was down to my lowest weight in several, several years. I was 151 then and I know I can do it again. I just need to stop being so LAZY!!! I had a friend who was a big motivator for me back then but we fell out of touch so now I need to motivate myself! I put the weight back on when I lost my job and consoled myself by eating every E.L.F. cookie I could find at Aunt Debby's house. (FYI - ELF is Everybody Loves Fudge... evil little Elf cookies that taunt you) NO MORE COOKIES... well ok, only if I eat them in moderation.
I have bought myself an elliptical machine which I have fallen in love with (don't tell Scott, I don't want him to be too jealous) and have been pretty good about it. My eating, while it is not the healthiest way to lose weight, it has proven to be effective in the past. I am eating cereal for breakfast and dinner, except on special occassions and lunch is a normal meal. I am trying not to snack so much in between but we have lots of goodies here at work. Bad Robin... Bad (I say bad because I am the one responsible for buying them, but I can't make everyone else suffer... or can I? ...evil laugh...)
So everyone wish me luck!
